Can I customize the shape and length of my Gelato-X Extensions?
You can certainly shape your extensions to perfectly fit your nail bed, if needed. You can also trim them down to make them a little bit shorter, however, keep in mind that this could alter the appearance or the shape of your tips.
I have a flatter nail bed, will Gelato-X still work for me?
Of course! We have a few tips to help:
First off, when sizing the extension to the nail bed, you may find it useful to file the nail down around the cuticle area for a better fit. All hands are different, and although Gelato-X Extensions are perfectly shaped, some prefer the fit of the extensions when they fit comfortably on their nail bed.
Second, we recommend a generous amount of Gelato Builder. You'll need a good amount of Builder cured to the natural nail and Gelato Press on Glue on the underside of the extension. Make sure you press and hold firmly while curing. This will help seal the space between a flatter nail bed and the slight curve of the nail extensions.
How do I remove Gelato-X?
Removing your extensions is quick, easy, and painless! Simply follow these steps:
1. Trim down the nail as much as possible with a nail cutter.
2. Remove the shiny layer from the nail extensions with a nail file or e-file.
3. Soak a cotton ball in acetone and place it directly on the nail.
4. Wrap your fingers in foil and allow 10-15 minutes for the product to dissolve.
5. Remove the excess product from the nail bed, wash your hands and moisturize.
That's it! Now you're ready for a fresh new Gelato-X set!
